Q1: Aren’t you still ashamed? How can you talk about your prodigal experience so freely?(click for answer)
Bob responds:
God has forgiven my shame. If telling our story helps others not to make the same mistakes, I will gladly do it.

Q4: My spouse is telling me to file for the divorce. Should I? My family and friends are also encouraging me.(click for answer)
Charlyne responds:
No, you should not file for divorce as God hates divorce. Your spouse is wanting you to do it, so he will not have more guilt and shame. Listen to the Lord only for His guidance. I Corinthians 7:10-11

Q5: Do all men cheat on their wives?(click for answer)
No,they do not. Each of us may have sexual thoughts planted in our mind by satan, but a few allow them to go from the head to the heart to the hand and act upon their thoughts. Most men recognize the enemy at work, put those thoughts aside and remain true to their marriage vows.

Q6: The noise of the enemy is pretty loud right now! How can I know that God hears my prayers?(click for answer)
Kim responds:
God has promised us in His Word that He will never leave us nor forsake us. It's just that sometimes He speaks to us in gentle whispers and we can't hear these whispers when the noise of circumstances and emotions are swirling all around us. It is hard to hear when we are right in the middle of it. And sometimes things happen that make us wonder just what His plans are. We see only the thing in the flesh - the circumstances, emotions, thoughts and words that often leave us reeling with despair. But God sees what is going on and will answer in His time and in His way. I remember something Charlyne said one time - "Hopelessness is just an opportunity to trust God." And sometimes that's all we can do - continue with faithful prayer and trust that God knows what He is doing.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." Jeremiah 29:11-14

God wants to give you a hope and a future. He wants you to seek Him with all your heart. He wants to be your strength and comfort. Let Him do that for you, no matter the circumstances you face. Remember what His Word says - "All things work together for good." Not just the easy things, or the good things, or the right things - but all things. Have you ever looked at a homemade quilt? When you look at the underside, you see all the knots and tangles and missed stitches. But when you look at the top side, you see the beautiful pattern that was woven from the tangled mess on the other side. Our lives are much like this underside right now with all the knots and tangles. This is the only perspective we have. But God sees the top side of our quilt and knows how to put it all together to make a beautiful picture.

Q7: A church friend told me that I should "Get on with my life," and that by standing I am demanding my will of God. Is she right? How do I respond?(click for answer)
Kim responds:
Sometimes it is so difficult to stand when others tell us we are wrong. But we have to listen to God. Other people don't know what God has placed in our hearts and they haven't heard the promises he made to us. Something Charlyne said one time spoke to this. "It does not matter what 'they' say. It matters what God says to you."

"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" Numbers 23:19

God is our Wonderful Counselor and our Blessed Provider. As we continue this journey, we find that He is, indeed, all that we need.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34

May God continue to guide and strengthen you on your journey. May He shower His blessings on your family and show Himself strong in your situation.

Q8: Did you apply tough love to Bob in your marriage?(click for answer)
Charlyne responds:
Yes. People advised tough love and I divorced Bob. Then my Lord spoke to me afterwards showing that I should love Bob unconditionally. Read I Corinthians 13:1-8 and Romans 12:9-21. How does Jesus treat you?

Q9: Help! I am the one that caused our problems. Now my spouse will not forgive me.(click for answer)
Charlyne responds:
Don't panic! Remember who you are in Christ. Know that your Lord is the One who is going to heal, restore and rekindle the love that has died in your marriage, or make a new love in their heart that will be better than your first love ever was.

Q10: How do I make decisions alone?(click for answer)
Many of you have so many circumstances coming against you. Many of you are having to find a job, a new home and make large decisions. You often ask us to give you our opinions about certain matters. We wish we knew the answers to many of your questions, but we know ONE who does. We suggest you go to your Lord Jesus Christ who can direct your every step. Tell Him you want to be obedient to His way.

Read 2 Chronicles 20:1-30. Jehoshaphat had an army coming to kill him and his people. Read verse 12. He sought the Lord, He fasted, his people PRAISED the Lord, THEN the Lord won the battle!!

"You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you." 2 Chronicles 20:17 Do not have fear. Trust your God! "He that is in you is greater than He who is in the world." I John 4:4

Many of you are told that you have to make a decision immediately. Wait on the Lord before you make a decision. I was told once that anything that has to be done instantly or immediately is not from the Lord. The Lord is a gentleman and does not put us in a corner.

"Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again; Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7

"I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Stand still before the Lord. Read I Peter 5:6-11.

Ask for wisdom and He will give it to you.(James 1:5-6). Do not be afraid, trust Him. Remember Moses, when he was taking the people out of Egypt and they had no where to go. Our God parted the Red Sea, for HIM TO GET THE GLORY--NOT MAN!
