"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." II Peter 3:8-9

“I would just like to testify in the name of Lord that God is good and faithful and worthy of praise! This week in particular He answered my prayers and showed me a miracle, using an argument that my wife and I had and turned it into something good. She called me later that night to speak and she said something that I been praying and waiting for so long. She told me that she still cares for me and that she has strong feelings for me, and said that she knows that God only gives us one true love. Praise the Lord, now I know how my beloved wife really feels, and I know my marriage restoration is right around the corner. Never give up and pray without ceasing. God's grace will see you through.”  (California)

"For our wedding gift, my sister painted a picture and put Isaiah 40:8 in the bottom corner. I didn't understand it at that time and thought a love verse would be better. God revealed to me recently that He was preparing for this trial even from our wedding years ago. He had her use that verse to encourage me today." (Pennsylvania)

"I give praise to God. My spouse and I have been separated. We are getting along and spending time together. Today my spouse told me that he loved his wife and he was not leaving. This is just the beginning of what God is doing. I'm never giving up on my marriage." (Louisiana)

“Praise God. I see small steps which make me know my God is working on my marriage. While it hurts and gets me down, I thank God that it shows me Satan is having to work harder to discourage me because of my stand and the wonderful work God is doing. I have had people telling me my stand is just going to hurt me in the long run if he doesn’t come back, but I thank God that I'm now at the stage where I can let them say their piece, but am confident enough in my powerful Father to tell them I don't agree. My husband is coming back....when God knows it's the right time for both of us.”  (Zimbabwe)

"The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry." Psalm 34:15

“Thank You Abba Father! A sister in Christ responded to my testimony about Isaiah 7:7. Thank You Father for confirming Your Word AGAIN! It is truly amazing what is in the heart of God to reveal to us when we keep our eyes on Him in His Word. Sometimes we look to the left and/or the right, but LOOK ONLY TO HIM. John 1:1 -The Word was God.Our Father speaks, The Word of God made flesh is Jesus. Jesus is the manifestation of God's Word. John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh. When we start looking at the wind (circumstances) like Peter, we start to sink, but we need to keep our eyes on Him, and we will walk on water. Ecclesiastes 11:4 -says:Whoever watches the wind will not sow(and we need to sow His Word in our hearts); whoever looks at the clouds will not reap(Harvest). Be like faithful Abraham, BELIEVE ANYWAY! Romans 4:19 - And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body(circumstances) and he received the promise.THE WORD SPOKEN TO HIM. Praise the Lord!”  (Florida)

“We were able to have dinner this evening after a soccer game as a family. My prodigal asked me what he could bring to Thanksgiving dinner. Bless You Jesus for following through on Your promises.”  (Florida)

Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.  The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”  Exodus 13:13-14

"After almost a year of separation and divorce papers being filed, my spouse has returned home. To God be the glory. Nothing is impossible with Him." (Arkansas)

Perhaps the reason he was separated from you for a little while was that you might have him back for good—no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother.  Philemon 1:15-16a

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,  that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.  Psalm 30:11-12

“I found your site just over six years ago when my wife left home... we have been separated ever since. Three weeks ago she asked me to move back home. Restoration is on its way. Trust in our Lord; He always comes through. Thanks to Bob and Charlyne for following God’s will and leading a ministry like this one. May God heal all hurting marriages.”  (West Virginia)

“I know God is at work. No, my prodigal did not call to wish me happy birthday, but out of all the people in the world who could have, the very least I expected did. My sister-in-law did. She texted me with Happy  Birthday and it was an amazing all day conversation. We even made plans to get together at a later date. I had been praying to have a breakthrough with her and by God’s grace we have! Not even an hour after her text, my mother-in-law came by my office, wished me happy birthday and gave me a big hug. God is so busy on the other side of our mountain. He is still answering prayers. I know my suddenly is near and I praise God for His mighty hand over our families.  Matthew 17:20 -  My mountain of divorce will be moved in God's time.”  (Texas)

"God is touching my husband's hardened heart. After leaving and never asking if I needed a repair to our home, I asked if he could please help with something that needed to be repaired and when he dropped our daughter off after visitation he made the repair. He also told me he is back on his medication. He is listening." (Pennsylvania)

"I was invited to a meeting of Christian women encouraging other women. I left the meeting feeling very discouraged and doubting my stand. The following day I attended a prayer and counseling session. As we prayed and worshiped I asked God to confirm my stand. The person who prayed for me used the word restoration three times and prayed that what the locusts have eaten will be restored to me. The good to come out of that first meeting was that I met and now encourage a girl whose husband had just left." (Trinidad and Tobago)

"Four months ago I had surgery for cancer of the prostate. My first post- surgery blood test done earlier this week came back as undetectable. The PSA will be monitored periodically for a few years to monitor the results of my surgery. I know that God has blessed me by curing me of my cancer. To God be the Glory. May His Name be praised." (Texas)

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.  Psalm 138:7-8 (NKJV)

“I have had no contact with my in-laws since my husband left. On Mother's Day I was led to send my mother-in-law pictures of our girls. I received a post card from her thanking me and telling me she wished she had more contact with me and the girls. I am excited about all that is happening.” (California)

“My stand has been a long one. I have fallen a few times but praise the Lord for the Holy Spirit; I picked myself up and kept running the race. Look at God not at what your spouse is doing. This is about changes He makes in you. I have had 4 visits in the last month and a half; 2 visits in the last week. I also noticed that when he says he is going to bring something, he does that within days of his promise. It is cute that God is working in him and he wants to earn my trust again. He wants us to do something we used to do together, just the two of us. We are becoming friends again. God is great!”  (Illinois)

“I have been waiting for my wife. I was starting  to feel discouraged and I felt my faith failing. I prayed that night for my wife, my marriage and I also prayed that God would give me a sign that I was doing His will and I wasn't just kidding myself. I went to sleep expecting a dream or something, but when I woke in the morning, there was no sign. I started to feel defeated. Then my cell phone notification sounded and I opened a daily Bible verse app on my phone. The verse for the day was Malachi 2:16. I just stared at it and thought it was a coincidence. I closed the app, but decided to reopen it to read it again, except the verse for the day was actually Psalm 50. It remained Psalm 50 all day. I know it is God's will for my marriage to be restored.”  (Pennsylvania)

"My husband was in town and asked me to do dinner and we had a great time. The next day he had an appointment to go sign divorce papers and that day he cancelled it! He said it didn't feel right! Just last week he was saying that it felt like he needed to do it, but God changed his heart! Thank God!" (Canada)

"God uses all things for good. My heart was filled with love, compassion and the kind of forgiveness only Jesus could enable me to feel towards my spouse and the other woman, after hearing that they were expecting a child together. I know satan meant this news to cause me to give up my stand, but instead it strengthened it and softened my heart all the more. I know my miracle is just around the corner." (Kentucky)

"Thank you for your prayers! This morning I went to court. None of our lawyers were present as it was supposed to be a done deal. The judge decided that she would put this off for three months for us to have mediation. Praise be to God - three months is a lot of time for His miracle to work in my husband's heart. Keep standing all! Please pray that mediation will work to bring us back together and God will be the Mediator."  (England)

"My husband and I divorced after I committed adultery. The Lord later changed my heart and I became the stander, but by that time my husband had a girlfriend. My husband came back to me just long enough for me to get pregnant. When he found out about the pregnancy, he went back to his girlfriend. They were discussing marriage. While I was pregnant and standing, the Lord sent me a dream that he would be back home by Christmas. He came home in late November and we were married last week." (Texas)

“I have been standing for many years and God has given me many promises of restoration though He has never told me when. As I was crying out to Him on the sixth anniversary of my stand, He plainly showed me as only He can that this seventh year is the year He will grant me the desire of my heart! I am praising the LORD for His exceedingly great and precious promises. I know that He who has promised is faithful and He will do it!”  (Pennsylvania)

"The Lord knows how I struggle in my stand, but I know how powerful our God is. When someone tells me my husband won't change, those words make me pray more. I have determined to be the one to pray in the gap. Words from the enemy help me be more resolved. I know this is God's strength." (Texas)

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

"I was at my husband's house and the nanny shared with me that she and her husband are in a restored marriage and are praying for our marriage and my husband's salvation. God has planted a prayer warrior in my husband's house. Praise God." (State Removed)

“After several year of fighting the evil of infidelity, I have seen the light. God has shown me His power. He has shown me that we should persevere in Him with patience, trusting him that we will obtain everything in His power. Thanks to God and thanks to Bob and Charlyne, founders of this ministry, who have helped me in how to handle the situation. Even though it is just the beginning, I know that God will continue doing His work. Today I received a call from the woman who caused so much trouble and pain to my family. She said that she was sorry and that she has God in her life; that God has changed her heart and that she recognized that she was wrong. Blessed is the Lord! Now I know that He will touch the heart of my husband also. Thank You Lord. I bless You.”  (Florida)

"Monday was the final trial date. I stood there in Jesus' name as a Christian and gave testimonial evidence under Holy Spirit conviction. The judge granted him a divorce but commended me repeatedly for my words and actions. To the world, I lost the case and am now divorced but it was a victory for Jesus. It is my victory in Christ for He is changing me into a new person. Thank You, Lord. After the trial, my husband asked me to dinner. I will stand, wait and praise the Lord!" (United Kingdom)

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Isaiah 41:10

"One year ago, I was penniless when my husband left me for the other woman. Today I am able to lend him money to tide him through his trying period. Thank You, God for this opportunity to show my husband how much I have changed through You." (Singapore)

"My husband has let me know that he is not going to divorce me. We've been getting along well, praise God. I am still praying for his return into the home with his family." (Texas)

“I wanted to stop by and encourage someone going through difficulty. I've had a restored marriage now over two years. The circumstances seemed impossible. My husband seemed so much in love with the other person but she's been gone from his mind, heart and life completely. I almost gave up because the storm was its biggest right before it was completely calmed by my Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. My husband is closer to the LORD, which I never pictured happening, and the Lord has placed other men in the same situation he was in so that he may help them not make the same mistakes. Praise our Lord for not giving up on us when we try to give up, and bless Charlyne and her ministry to continue what they do best. When I was about to give up, I would remind myself… if I cannot trust God to get me out of this situation then how could I trust him in other situations?”  (California)

“My heart was heavy as I made the seven hour trip to a strange city and state where my husband filed for divorce. We were going to sign our final papers. I hadn't seen him in more than two years. I prayed for our marriage to be healed but had doubt in my heart. People told me to move on, but I had no desire to. I found your ministry just weeks before our court hearing and placed our names on the Court Page. I was two miles from the court house when my cell phone rang. The judge canceled the hearing due to a conflict with the schedule. My husband called shortly after and we decided to meet. He hugged me and told me he loved me. He said the fear of facing people at home was the only reason he couldn't come back yet. I came home with my heart filled with hope and praising God for the work He is doing in our marriage. I will continue to stand!”  (Pennsylvania)

"I attend a mega church with weekly attendance over 10,000 people. I pray weekly with the prayer group at the front of the church after the service I attend. Today's message was titled 'God is Able,' based on many scriptures, but especially Luke 1:37. This morning I cried out in tears for God to please tell me or show me for certain that standing is what He wants me to do. Today, after reading Luke 1:37, the pastor spoke of a woman who has faithfully prayed for the restoration of her marriage for over two years when many would have thrown in the towel. He used my story (without mentioning my name) to encourage others to have faith in God's ability to do anything, namely marriage restoration. Please praise God with me. He is so faithful." (Minnesota)

"My husband was told that he could divorce me in 2007, but God's timing stalled it for close to two years. All I could do was humble myself and pray. Through Charlyne Cares, I learned to zip my lips, be gracious and do what is right instead of wanting to be right. I have a long way to go and it has been a struggle dying to the flesh, but I know that God is moving mountains both for me and for my prodigal. All I need to do is work on myself. My husband suddenly started wanting to take our daughter to Mass after being away from the church for many years." (Hawaii)

"It looked like the end when we were granted a divorce on Tuesday. My wife had a change of heart and we started talking. Two weeks later we are putting a deposit on a new apartment and making plans for the future. I cannot wait to get back under the same roof again. Praise God." (Rhode Island)

"I had outpatient surgery this week. My prodigal offered to drive me. He stayed with me the entire time. To my surprise he reached down and kissed me as they rolled me away. I was thanking Jesus all the way to the operating room. As he left me at home in the care of my adult daughter, he tucked me into our bed and kissed me again. He has called me every day. God is good, I have seen many prayers coming to pass lately. My God is ever faithful." (California)

“God blessed me double today! In my home was a mother-in-law who hadn't spoken to me in two years, spending time with me and my two children. In my mailbox were my purchases from your book store. Bob's words had me laughing till I cried. Bob Steinkamp lives on in my home and in my heart. As for me and my house we shall serve the Lord.”  (Florida)

“This site was recommended by our marriage counselor. Even though my husband and I have no plans to separate or divorce, we live separate lives. Reading testimonies from other standers inspires me to not give up hope for our marriage. I pray every day for a marriage that is pleasing to God. I owe it to my God to work just as hard as He is in restoring our marriage. I am now focusing on Him rather than my circumstance. I now know He is working on my husband and I can let go. I can pray for my husband and let it go! I am no longer anxious about the results of my prayer, because I now know God will prevail! PTL!”  (Pennsylvania)

"Our Lord is so amazing. I've been reading how we should forgive others that have come against us so the Lord can forgive us our sins. My prodigal had affairs. One person asked for my forgiveness a couple of months ago and we talk often. I received an email from a second and she asked for my forgiveness and we talked for hours. My prodigal called to say he was thinking of me. I will always stand." (Florida)

"Praise God for His faithfulness, and that He hears our cries. I'd been asking for some encouragement. God showed me that I was listening to the ten spies, the majority report, and not heeding His voice as it came through Caleb and Joshua. He reminded me that as He promised, He will fulfill. I praise Him that His time is perfect and that with God all things are possible." (Pennsylvania)

“I did not know if I wanted to keep standing for my spouse, to keep on praying for him. Then one day I looked up and saw a truck that said ‘Victory.' PTL! God is still working on the other side of my mountain. Keep looking to God He is still working on your behalf.”  (South Carolina)

"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?" 2 Samuel 22:31-32

"Our divorce papers were filed with the court just days after our silver anniversary. I prayed for a sign that the Lord was continuing to work in my marriage. We met at the bank to divide accounts. As I pulled in I heard the worship song, "Waiting." I I again heard the same song immediately following my individual counseling appointment this week. I know that the Lord is telling me to be patient and wait for His perfect time, and I praise Him who makes all things possible." (Kentucky)

"Last week, out of the blue, I had double vision. I will have a biopsy this week for possible cancer. The praise in this is that my prodigal showed genuine concern and wants me to call and keep her up to date with everything. She also agreed to letting me have the children whenever I want them. We have decided to shield the children from this news until we know more. For now they can call me a pirate with the patch over my eye." (North Carolina)
