"May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests." Psalm 20:4-5
“My prodigal suddenly stopped all communication with me a couple of weeks ago after having previously spoken to me a couple times a week. I started to lose heart and began to wonder if he was intentionally pulling away from me for good this time. I prayed and asked God to give me a sign that He still wants me to stand for our relationship. A couple of days later, I went to lunch with friends. As I'm waiting to pay the cashier, my eyes are drawn to a framed picture of Christ with the word ‘Covenant’ underneath Him. Praise God! I've been going to that restaurant for lunch nearly every week for four years and have never noticed that picture before! On my computer, there was a quote from Joyce Meyer. It started with ‘God is a Redeemer and a Restorer.’I had specifically prayed for a sign of restoration and here was His answer! Glory be to God! Do not give up, for the Lord does answer prayers!” (Michigan)
“My husband, as a Christmas gift, gave me a beautiful diamond ring that represented past, present, and future. Although, the card read that the ring did not signify the return of a prodigal husband, but symbolized the stand of a wife who is trusting faithfully on the promises of GOD for marriage restoration. I see the ring as a concrete promise of what GOD has guaranteed to me through His Word, which is the restoration of my marriage. GOD’s promises do not return void!” (California)
“I told my wife that I pray every night for her and for our marriage, that it would help change her mind about the divorce. She said ‘I might.’ That was the first time she has even came close to saying something like this in months. I asked God to give me a sign that He wants me to stand. The first billboard I saw said, ‘LOVE WORKS.’ PTL! I know He is working!” (Tennessee)
“I divorced my husband and listened to friends who said I deserved better. Immediately, I felt so overwhelmed with guilt. But he was very angry and didn’t want to reconcile with me. He eventually found someone else. During this time I came across this website and started praying for my husband. My husband returned to me this Christmas. We are getting remarried next month. What an awesome God we serve. So don't give up. God is in control.” (Florida)
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36
“I am standing for my marriage restoration, although the court passed the decree. But the Lord Jesus gave me signs of hope. He is showing me and speaking to me to continue standing for my marriage. I pray that we will live together happily and forgive each other and let the Lord guide us, bless us, and let divine love flow between us. I also pray for others who are standing for their marriage to receive miracles from God. Thank You, Lord, for our answered prayers. Amen.” (Texas)
"Dear standers, I've been separated for a while and was beginning to get weary, but little did I know God was answering every little prayer in His timing. I asked Jesus to send my husband godly men that are full of faith; on fire for Him. I also prayed that my husband would start to tell me again that he loves and misses me. I want to say that God is faithful to His promises and has softened my husband’s heart to tell me these things. The Lord has also sent a great man of God (Pastor) in my husband’s life to encourage him every day. PTL! My husband is on his way home." (Nevada)
“My one-flesh husband is an in-house prodigal. His heart had softened towards me in the first half of December. Then suddenly, as Bob says, the pendulum swung and his heart was hardened. I was upset and the Lord knew all that was going on inside me. As I had finished reading the Bible, He brought a thought to my mind to open the Bible and read the Word again. He showed me Jeremiah 30:3 - 31:26 (NRSV). “For the days are surely coming...when I will restore the fortunes of my people...and I will bring them back to the land that I gave to their ancestors and they shall take possession of it...I am going to restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob...the city shall be rebuilt upon its mound.”Praise the Lord! Our Lord is faithful to His children and we only have to stand still. He is truthful to all His promises. When you need the Lord He will never forsake you.” (India)
“I was served with divorce papers three weeks ago. I waited the full 21 days to respond and headed to court today to file my ‘answer’ with the court. I had to write true or false next to each charge and could choose to write more if I wished. One charge (paraphrased) said that the marriage had deteriorated enough that no reasonable chance exists that it can be preserved. I was able to write: FALSE, followed by my favorite scriptures (Matthew 19:26, Malachi 2:16 and Mark 10:9). I will be able to ‘serve’ my answer directly to my husband this weekend. When I filed my answer with the court, the clerk (who had been very short and insensitive with me minutes before) gave me a smile and told me ‘Good luck to you.’ Even in one of my toughest days, God gave me the chance to witness. Praise the Lord! Standing firm! God bless!” (Michigan)

“I wanted to shout God's Glory to all. My husband usually communicates directly to our kids but I had the chance to share our daughters singing audition with him yesterday. I called him to tell him what happened and he invited me and our daughter to lunch with him and his work partner. This is the first time I've been around him without the woman he lives with in several months. It seems small but it's huge considering our circumstances of never having communication with each other. All Glory to God!” (Texas)
“Praise be to God. I went to court today and things turned out in my favor because our God is faithful. Dear standers, don't ever stop believing in the miracle working power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And thank you so much for your prayers. Amen!” (Nevada)
“I want to report a testimony quick so the enemy doesn't rob me of it. My boss has been praying with me over my marriage and me with him over his sick mom. We were talking today and he mentioned how my wife has a free will and may never come back and I have to accept it. He also mentioned that he doesn't know how I can stand by while my wife is with another man every day. I told him it wasn't by my strength. He seems doubtful that my prayer and fasting are doing much. So ... we were in my office working, all of a sudden my phone had a text. It was from my wife (who rarely texts me.) Her text read: ‘You have been on my heart all day today. Are you OK?’ I laughed, praising God inside, and showed him. Yesterday she told my daughter that she couldn't be around when I came home because it upset her to see me and she couldn't pray with me like I want when she's there. A breakthrough is close. To God be the glory!” (North Carolina)
"My husband and I separated last year. All along he gave me the impression that our relationship was hopeless, but today he called me to say that he loves me. Praise the Lord for beginning to move the mountain of anger and soften his heart." (New York)
In my distressI called to the Lord;I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. Psalm 18:6
“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3
Thank You, Jesus for strength and hope. My children and I were blessed to spend Father's Day with our Papasito. God has softened my prodigal’s heart to spend time with his family on Father's Day. Glory to God, the Victory is His." (California)
"As many do, I was praying and asking God to confirm that I was on the right path, asking the Lord to put me on my husband's heart. That morning I received an email from my husband which was short, but sweet, just to say that I was on his mind. God is good and very many times, He is also quick to answer us." (Florida)
"I sought the Lord and He heard my cries. My husband returned to our family after being gone for months and living with the other woman. I give all the praise and glory to Jesus who does answer prayer." (Texas)
"Praise His holy name, my husband has come home. After months of separation, a request for divorce and days and nights of anguish and desperation, my husband unexpectedly asked to come back into our lives on Palm Sunday. Like many others, I could not have made it without your ministry. The battle for my husband's soul still rages, but God's promises are true." (Florida)
"I asked the LORD for communication from my husband and he called me this morning. It was regarding tax stuff, but God! It is very important to give all the glory when a prayer has been answered, and I thank you for the outlet to do that." (Pennsylvania)
"'Psalm 66:1-2: Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands. Sing forth the honour of his name, make his praise glorious.' It was our youngest son's birthday. My husband booked a table at a restaurant for us both to take him to celebrate. This in itself is a miracle as he had said it would only be for the two of them. I prayed beforehand and on the way there that there would be lots of laughter between my husband and I and God was faithful and answered my prayer. When he dropped us home I thanked him for allowing me to be there. He said he could not have it any other way. I am in awe again at how our Father works. I continue to zip my lips.” (United Kingdom)
“My grandmother always spoke of faith to me when I was a little girl. My grandfather was a prisoner of war, and was missing. He was away from his family for five years. Everyone told my grandmother that he probably would not return. But she had faith and never stopped believing that he would. Then the war ended just in time, and he was released and sent home! She must have told me this story several times. She always spoke of having faith. This has resounded in my head throughout my stand! She would never have thought that her story would be an encouragement to me all these years later! I saw my mother fight ovarian cancer for seven years! She was so courageous and never gave up on the possibility of a full recovery. During this time she fought to live the best she could in those years. She fought cancer with courage; I can do the same for my marriage and family! I know both of them would be happy to know they have made a difference for me, and help me stand!” (Florida)
"Praise the Lord, I finally spoke to my prodigal on the phone. I could hear in his voice so much unhappiness. I got to tell him how much I love him and want our marriage. I thank God for the opportunity to talk to him and to hear his voice." (Pennsylvania)
“Before Christmas, I had requested my prodigal husband to spend some time with our son. He agreed but then canceled. I was very hurt and reconsidered sending him a gift for his birthday which is also on Christmas Day. God told me to go ahead and send it. When he received it, he broke down. He called me and thanked me and was kind in his tone. Since then, his heart has been softened towards us. God blessed my son and I with our own home after living with my parents for months. Since we moved in, my prodigal has visited every weekend, shopped for groceries, helped fix things around the house, spent time with our son, stayed for dinner, even joked with me and complimented me on my appearance. I thank God for these giant steps forward and believe my suddenly is on the way. Glory to God.” (Kenya)
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. Psalm 145:13
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
“My children and I have a running joke about how our van can always find the best parking places. Even the day after Christmas at the mall we found a spot right by the door. Today my awesome God reminded me that we find those spaces because we have come to believe we will. He reminded me in His gentle way that if I believe in him to restore my marriage it will happen. I have changed my prayer from, ‘Please God restore my marriage.’ to ‘I believe my marriage will be restored soon.’ This afternoon I went from begging God to believing in his promise. My attitude has been uplifted all day because of the change of focus. God is teaching me so much. He is teaching me not only the power of prayer, but also the power of belief. God bless all you standers and believe in your miracle!” (Montana)
"Yesterday we had a court date for our divorce. It was dismissed. My husband is trying to get it re-filed. Praise God that it was canceled yesterday. I pray that the Lord will not let the new petition go through." (Texas)
“And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day’s need.” 1 Kings 8:59
"God continues to show me His blessings. After being in divorce court several months ago for the final hearing, which accomplished nothing as God was in control, my spouse has now been home for several months. He recently asked that we renew our marriage vows in my church! He has spoken to my minister who has agreed to do the service. The whole church had been praying for our reconciliation for years so this will be a wonderful witness to the power of God. I still pray for my spouse's salvation and I know that it is coming one day." (California)
Recently I felt very little hope, and I asked God to give me spiritual eyes. The next day I was overwhelmed with knowledge. First I had heard bad news, but then I heard what God was doing. Then I even heard how other people were speaking truth to the other man and to my wife. My wife’s best friend sat her down and told her she did not approve of what was happening. God is good, and He never gives up on His marriages." (California)
Our anniversary fell on Thanksgiving. My husband received an anonymous card telling him to go to a certain restaurant. He showed up at the restaurant not knowing who this was from and they served him a meal that morning that I had already paid for. This was the same place we went on our first date. I had the restaurant give him a Happy Anniversary card. Thanksgiving night he wanted me to bring our daughter to his house. He ended up asking me to stay for three days. He is testing the waters on returning home, praise God." (New York)
He ransoms me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me. Psalm 55:18
"God changed my husband's heart of stone. He has been convicted to stop the divorce and work on our marriage. He will be attending church with us and start counseling. I thank God for humbling and transforming me through pain. God reminded me that all this was for His glory." (Texas)
“God is amazing! Last night I was tired and worrying a bit about circumstances with my prodigal. Despite praying for some positive communication, I haven't heard anything from him. I was talking with God and while driving through a new area trying to find my way to the highway, I suddenly looked up onto the highway and a Covenant Transport truck passed directly by. Only God could have arranged that timing and location exactly when I needed encouragement. Thank You Papa!” (Minnesota)
"My church held a worship music workshop. We all had to select a percussion instrument. I chose a shaker, then the visiting teacher came over to me and said that one comes in pairs, handing me another identical shaker. Later that night I realized the Lord had used this Godly teacher to send me His message of encouragement that two who are meant to be together cannot be separated." (United Kingdom)
"My husband has been home 7.5 months now and it's been a glorious time. God not only removed my husband from darkness and sin but he removed it from me, too. I was a bitter wife and didn't respect my husband the way God calls me to. To all standers: "Never give up on what God calls you to do. Your true unconditional love will knit your spouse's heart to you again." The other day I told the same story about how I knew my husband was the one and I expected my husband to tell the same story from 17 yrs ago but instead he said "when you showed me unconditional love." God will complete His good work." (Georgia)
"While visiting, my prodigal husband used endearments while talking to me and referred to himself as my husband. Praise God." (Virginia)
"Beyond my waiting, our God is yet in the midst because I have seen FIVE Covenant Transport trucks within the past five weeks! I know it is God speaking because I have never seen a single one and now to see five! It just brings an overwhelming sense of gratitude to our Lord and Savior for being so kind and gracious to ME!" (Georgia)
"I called for information regarding our court case. Our divorce will be final within months. To my amazement I feel peace and know God is with me in this season and He is in control. I know man cannot dictate God's will for my marriage." (California)
“This past weekend my son had a class trip. I invited my husband to attend and he accepted! We had a great time together doing things as a family. I just want to praise God for being so good to me. Over the past several months my husband and I have had much more contact. My biggest prayer is for my husband to return to God and I know He is working on him. God has been so faithful towards me and patient with me and I know He is doing the same for my husband. All of this is in His perfect hands and I praise Him for making all things new!” (North Carolina)
How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation. Daniel 4:3
“Recently God has been doing great things. Despite divorce, my prodigal and I are staying under the same roof. I have had some bad times but the Father always brought me joy. Throughout this entire trial I have been trusting in Jesus and He has not failed me yet. I am encouraged to see this through to total restoration.” (Florida)
I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. Psalm 57:9-11
"Sunday morning, I was telling the Lord that I was not going to go to church because I did not want to go alone. Then, I opened up 'Charlyne Cares' and it was titled 'The Church Choice' and my excuse was on the list. In a few minutes, I was able to find another mass time close by and made it on time. The Lord always knows how to answer right when we need Him." (Louisiana)
"My children tell me my wife has started wearing her wedding ring. When I first started my stand, God showed me a grass- hopper in my urban garden, which was totally out of place. I was reminded of the verse about restoring what the locust devours. Recently on two occasions while driving through London’s major roads to work, a grasshopper has landed on my car’s windscreen, totally out of place. Thank You Lord, I trust You." (United Kingdom)
“PTL! Jesus delivers! I was having financial problems due to my prodigal quitting his job. We had no money and didn’t know when we would get more. I received a check in the mail yesterday which was his last check, and not only did he get that one but they paid out his 401K. Thank You, God! The kids and I now have money to get the stuff we needed.” (West Virginia)
