“I am amazed once again at how my God and Father shows His love for me, even in my times of doubt. I am a stander for the second time with my one and only husband. This time around things have gone further, divorce papers have been filed, but things are moving very slowly. During both my times as a stander I had never seen a Covenant Transport truck, but on the day I needed it most, I not only saw a Covenant truck, but a Swift truck, and a Heartland truck. I had just received the settlement agreement from my husband. I felt heartbreaking pain once again, but God, in His special way, reminded me He is there. I didn't ask for any more signs; just His Presence, His forgiving love for my husband, and even the OW. I didn't contact my husband, but he contacted me, telling me he still cares for me, and will always take care of me, and our kids. This gave me the opportunity to confirm to him, one more time that I made a covenant with him, no matter what. Our God is faithful.” (California)
"God's timing is perfect! I received in the mail a card and a large sum of money to encourage me on the same day my husband was adamant about divorce. Today, I went to do my nightly prayers when the Bible page I first opened had a devotional that ended with "Yes-the time is not long now. Dare to begin to be happy. If you will go forward in the way before you, you will soon receive the promise, and I will give you your heart's desire." The Lord has been telling me the fight for my marriage is short and intense, that the bondage of satan in my husband is breaking and I am closer than I think!" (Pennsylvania)
"My husband went on a business trip out of the country. Before he left he sent me a text that he will miss all of us. The night before he left he hugged me and for the first time in a long time said he loved me. Praise be to God for softening his heart." (Texas)
“I give all the glory and praise to God! I have been standing for several months. By the grace of God I am saved. It is so amazing how God has worked on me. I have not felt so much love, peace and joy in my life. Seeking God through His Word gives me strength as He slowly reveals Himself to me knowing that He is a God who loves me unconditionally and immeasurably. He is a very faithful God who will fulfill His promises to us. For all you standers like me, never give up. Just surrender everything to Him and He will do the rest. Believe and have faith for He is God.” (Missouri)
"Last Sunday, I was struggling. I spoke to God that I knew he wanted me to stand for my wife but I still needed to see His personal interaction in my life. I went to church, and sat in a random row. I noticed the guy in front of me. I asked him his name, and it was a good friend of mine from six years ago. I had NO idea that he went to that church. I recalled that he had moved to the area but we had lost touch since 2005. Praise God that He is involved in the very details of your life when you may not 'see' it." (United States Minor Islands)
“My spouse and I have been having problems for a few years now. He has never left home, but in the past few months things have been slowly getting better. I could tell that the other relationship had been ended even though I was never told that. Then my spouse started making contact with our old church friends. The past couple of nights he has read his Bible before bed, which is something he hasn't done for years, and on Sunday he came to church with me and our children for the first time in a very long time. God is restoring our marriage, just like He showed me He would, and all I can say is He works in amazing ways! With God, all things are possible!” (Colorado)
"My husband was living out of state, but is leaving today to move to be with me and our children. Although we are divorced, we will now be living in the same house. This is a huge step towards remarriage and I know God is working." (California)
“This week has been a constant challenge. It seems as though so much has hit me all at once, but I just kept praying and listening to the Word of God. Today I was reading in Romans and the Lord led me over to Habakkuk through a cross reference. I barely can spell Habakkuk, let alone know what it says. But as I was reading, this scripture seemed to leap off the page and I had to share.Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV) 'For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come.'God has said all along to me that He is not a man who should lie, and yet, Satan has been trying to plant seeds of doubt this week. Be encouraged friends! He's going to do it for us! Just wait.” (Georgia)
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:6-8
“Since my separation, I’ve been trying to ask everybody or browse the internet to know how I can get my husband back. I know in my heart only God can do this but stubborn as I am, I kept on looking. Then I found your website. Surprisingly, it's really all about God as I see in your testimonies so I finally decided to lift everything up to God and let Him be in charge of everything. And today, after praying and asking for a sign, I picked up my Bible. The page was flipped to Romans 13:8 and on top of this verse is the title ‘Love, For The Day Is Near.’ I know this is God talking to me. Makes me want to pray more and know more about Him because the closer I get to God the closer is my miracle! Praise to You Lord Jesus! My breakthrough is near!” (Philippines)
"When my husband first returned he said he did not care about me. Praise God since that first day he asks what’s wrong and if there is anything I need. I know God is working on his heart." (Louisiana)
"My mother told me that I was wanting a miracle. The Lord that I trust is working a miracle in our marriage and our family. I wanted to give up so many times but the Lord kept telling me to trust Him. I have learned so much about trusting Him. I continue waiting on the largest miracle of all, when my husband turns his heart to the Lord and becomes the spiritual leader of our family." (Virginia)
“I just read Monday’s devotional and it spoke to me so loudly and really touched my heart. Two weeks ago I was in such a depression and I met with my friend and we were discussing some of the issues and she said to me, ‘God just told me about a book you should read; it's called Redeeming Love.’ I purchased the book that night and it had a profound effect on me and how God truly loves us and will take our situations or circumstances and work them together for our good. I would recommend it to all standers.” (Ohio)
"My wife has been gone for a few months and ignores me. She excitedly shared with me today that she got an A and a B on her first two tests at school. I shared my excitement and support with her. Praise the Lord." (Oregon)
"My husband who has been in the far country for years and has been blinded by the enemy. He spent hours driving to come and see our daughter's talent night at her school. He stayed for a coffee and then drove hours back to the other person, all in the middle of the week. This has never happened before. All praise to God who does amazing work on our prodigal’s hearts and minds." (New Zealand)
"I gave my testimony with 200 men at our men’s group. I shared with what Jesus has been doing in my life since separating from my wife last year. At the end of the night I presented an altar call and one man asked Jesus into his heart. Several others recommitted their lives back to Christ. Praise the Lord." (Washington)
“I have finally started to listen, and realized I had put our marriage just ahead of God. Now I know. Not leave them, trust them to Him. Put Him first, not our marriage/family. When my wife moved across the state with our kids, He told me to stay, which again wasn't cool to me. This time I listened and stayed, for months. After putting the Lord in His rightful place, first, the Holy Spirit told me it's time to move closer. I don't know exactly where or what job, but I'm moving. No more questioning the Spirit! The icing is this: I accepted the Lord while on a business trip. I came home to my wife, and after she told me ‘It would take a miracle to save our marriage,’ in total peace, I told her ‘Our marriage will be 100 times better." I had never read a Bible. Jesus' Words, straight from Mark 10. He is so Holy.” (Oregon)
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10
"Since my husband left months ago we have talked without bitterness. He has asked if he can move into our garage until he can find a place of his own. He wants to be close to his sons and repair the relationship with them. I thank God for bringing my husband to the garage." (California)
“Thank You, Jesus for being with my spouse and with me today for our mediation. My spouse surprised me by asking to drive together for our mediation. After the session was over on the way home I was able to tell him I love him and I will stand until the Lord takes one of us home. Then my cell phone rang for a job interview that I never applied for. This lady received my resume from a relative. My husband asked how did this happen and I said, 'this is the Lord.' Everything is in His perfect timing. PTL!” (California)
“God is faithful all the time even when we are not. During my study time the Holy Spirit had me a read a devotional Not Dead Only Sleeping fromJohn 11:11. These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. My marriage is not dead only sleeping. Just a few days later the divorce was final. I cried out to God. I had been standing for some years for my husband’s salvation, deliverances, and our marriage. I was a little discouraged and said,’ Lord You promised me my marriage would be restored.’ I attended church this past Saturday and witnessed a miracle. A video of our pastor interviewing a couple at our church who were divorced for seven years. They shared their story and that they were considering reconciliation. Once the video ended, we all witnessed them before church services get remarried. Luke 1:37‘For nothing is impossible with God.’ Standers, trust God no matter what.” (Virginia)
“Praises to my Heavenly Daddy! I have been struggling for a year now with an in-home prodigal. This past week was an extremely trying time. I've been crying out to the Lord and asking Him how my husband could ever be changed. Imagine the smile on my face when the devotion for today was ‘I Quit.’ Several weeks ago, I felt led to create a support group for other women standing for their marriages. I received one response and it was an invitation for a marriage covenant group for women. My first meeting was tonight and the leader of the group shared her story. She and her husband have been through separation, divorce and now RESTORATION! God knew what I needed to continue this stand. I had goose bumps as she shared her story and was literally speechless at how GOD answered my cries and gave me renewed strength!” (Texas)
"As I was on the way to Thanksgiving dinner, I was listening to Christmas music and missing my wife. Just as I was asking the Lord what am I to do, He answered with a Covenant Transport truck that came into view at that moment. After returning home, I found that my wife had emailed Thanksgiving wishes. God is always faithful and good." (Texas)
“I have been a stander for many years. My husband has returned home three times, only to leave for the final time, and file for divorce. The divorce was granted. I have been devastated, and have given up my stand many times. Every time that I give up my stand, God spoke to me to ‘Never Give Up.’ When I recently gave up, a car cut in front of me in traffic, and the license plate said Mark 9:23, which says, ‘All things are possible for him that believes.’ Wow, instead of road rage, I felt that God meant for me to read that license plate. About a week later, I was behind the same car. Coincidence? I think not.” (United States)
"This is the best life I have ever lived. For so long I struggled with anger, bitterness, hate and all the fruits of satan. If I did not get something my way I would get angry and blame God. But slowly the Lord has been remolding me. I now see my plans through Proverbs 16:9: 'A man's heart plans his way. But the Lord directs his steps.' No longer do I get angry. I just ask what is God trying to show me. Thank You, Jesus." (Australia)
"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm-my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed." Joel 2:25-26
“I asked my husband to join us for Good Friday church service and he agreed. Saturday was my birthday and he joined us with our family for the party. He even stayed over with the rest of the family. On Sunday he stayed the whole morning and only left later that afternoon. The OW messaged me to ask if he was there. Then she phoned me and said he must come and get all his stuff from her house. I had the opportunity to talk to her in a civilized manner. I do pray that this is now the beginning of the end of their relationship and that he would come to his senses.” (South Africa)
"The divorce papers went to court a long time ago and I thought it all over. The lawyer said it was a formality. I have been praying God would show me a victory. Today a letter from the solicitor said I am not divorced. The court want amendments. I see that as my sign that God is working." (United Kingdom)
"God turns circumstances around, for His glory and for our good. The evil one tried to sow discord and strife between my husband and me over a financial misunderstanding. Instead, God turned the situation into an opportunity for us to have good communication, and the problem was resolved. Thanks be to God." (Washington)
"God allowed me to learn that my spouse might take our children out of the country. I needed to decide whether or not to file for temporary custody but was struggling, not wanting to open a legal can of worms if unneeded. I prayed to do God's will and sought prayer and direction, including a fast. The Lord answered my prayer quickly the next morning. After two days of high anxiety, I am at peace. Praise God." (Minnesota)
"My spouse told me last week that he would be coming this weekend to get the rest of his things. He hasn't contacted me regarding this matter, an answered prayer. Praise the Lord for always hearing me." (Texas)
“For a few days, I was feeling a little uneasy about continuing my stand. I was almost ready to give up. I asked God to please give me a sign that I should keep standing for my marriage. The very next day, I noticed a Covenant Transport truck on the highway. I've never seen one before. I knew that this was the confirmation that I needed. That night, my husband sent me a text asking if he could come over to talk. He told me how he made a mistake by leaving and that he has had time to reflect on things. He realized the mistakes he made and he wants his family back. And he's willing to do whatever it takes to make things work. To God be the glory!” (Georgia)
“Today my spouse has flown in for a meeting (he lives in another province) and I've been stressing out because the girlfriend is also around. However, my faithful God has kept me at peace. I find myself (without realizing it)singing ‘Jesus loves me’ and ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ the whole day! He called for us to meet and spend time with the kids. Praise be to God! Psalm 23: 3,5." ( South Africa)
"I prayed and fasted for my husband to come home. There has been no communication for years. All I had to lean on was God's promise to me that He would restore my marriage. This week my husband contacted me out of the blue. I had specifically asked God to let me hear from my husband. Even though my husband thinks divorce, God has softened his heart to talk to me and stay in touch. I know that my marriage restoration must be on the way. Praise God." (South Carolina)
"My husband walked away from our marriage of many years. My heart is broken, but I forgive him and have told him so. I pray for him each day and claim God's promises. The God who spoke this world into existence will restore our marriage. The daily devotions have been timely for the trials endured." (Australia)
“It's amazing what God does through fasting. It has been many years since I fasted and God has been doing some amazing things in my life concerning my husband and me. However, this time of fasting produced results I wasn't expecting. God has broken off issues in my life that I thought I had dealt with. Not only that, but the other day, I knew in my heart that no longer is it all about restoring our marriage and about my husband coming home. But it is about me now. I realized that my prodigal will come home 'suddenly,’ but the work that has to be done in me is a process. Being around my husband yesterday at my son's I was able to see him in a different light. His behaviors have not changed, but I did not feel this overwhelming sadness for him. I am continuing my fast for two more weeks and am excited to see what else comes to the surface.” (Texas)
"I am so thankful to the Lord! He is faithful and works in strange and beautiful ways. I've been standing strong for my marriage. My husband was unfaithful and gave up on our marriage while he was deployed. The military sent him to our home town when he was removed from active duty. To save money, he asked to stay in our home. He has accepted a job in another state with travel overseas, but is here in our home now. There has been no talk of ending things. God is moving!" (Oregon)
“Praise God. I received a message through a stranger who stood and prayed with me. Keep standing and pray for my husband’s salvation. Next day on the way to church I was looking for a sign and even before I could complete my thought, a Covenant Transport truck passed by. Praise God. I will continue to stand -praying for my husband’s salvation so that our marriage can be resurrected and healed.” (Texas)
"After several months of standing, my husband suddenly returned home two weeks before Christmas! We serve an amazing God. And thank God for Rejoice Ministries. They kept me standing when I did not have the strength to stand. Our reconciliation has been difficult but my wonderful Savior has drawn me so close to Him that I know He will restore my marriage to more than it was before this nightmare began. Keep standing standers! God will honor your stand. Stand strong!" (Kentucky)
“I am standing again for the healing of my marriage. Even though we are now divorced the Lord has given me so many encouragements to keep standing that it literally takes more faith to believe that it won't happen than that it will. Recently I was driving my father home after a weekend visit at my house. I felt the Lord was so near. As I looked over at a passing train I had to laugh with joy. There on one of the train beds were FIVE Covenant Transport trailers! God has gone out of His way in my stand to encourage me. Thank You God.” (Arizona)
“God encourages me through the testimony of others. Recently, the thought came to me that maybe I should have my nails done before I shopped and as I was arguing with that thought, the girl that does my nails bumped into me. The next thing I knew I was in her chair. Out of the blue she asked about my family and I hesitated to try to explain the whole ‘I am standing for my marriage’ to her as I just knew she would not understand but found myself sharing my story. She smiled the whole time I spoke and to my surprise she took my hands, looked into my eyes and told me that my husband would indeed be back because God restores marriages. That He had not only restored her marriage but had changed her abusive husband into a very godly man. She told me not to ever give up and promised she would pray for me every night. I knew then that it was God who put that thought in my mind and guided me into her path to get my nails done. Don't ever give up! He is faithful!” (Georgia)
"My mother-in-law invited me for New Year’s day dinner with my spouse’s approval. What Satan meant for harm, the Lord turned around for my good." (Ohio)
"My pastor saw my ring on my finger. She is divorced and did not remarry. Both her sons became pastors. She is a senior and serving the Lord with great energy and joy. I pray for reconciliation." (Canada)
“My husband thinks he is homosexual. I am choosing to stand until God removes his blinders and brings him home. God has told me this will happen, and we will share our testimony and save others through what Jesus has done for us at the cross. I will walk by faith and not by sight. No matter how impossible it seems, God continues to give me confirmation that my miracle is on its way. I choose to love my husband unconditionally. He doesn't understand yet, why I continue to love him, but one day soon he will see how much Jesus loves him through my love. Be encouraged, if this is your story too. God will do this for you too. With God...all things are possible.” (Texas)
"My prodigal husband came over last night. I reassured him of my stand for our marriage restoration. My husband cried. We prayed. Jesus continues to heal our hearts. My husband confessed things to me. I grabbed his hands, forgave him and hugged him. We are one day closer to restoration." (Florida)
“My husband has been ‘testing the water’ as Charlyne so aptly stated in her devotional several days ago. He has started coming home on long weekends and calling me every day to chat. This in itself is a miracle. I am praying for God to change my heart so when he comes home and ‘tests the waters’ he will find it to his liking. I know it is only a matter a time before the Lord brings him home. I especially loved the devotional 'The Fun Bus' (by Bob) because this is exactly where we are at!” (Canada)
"My prodigal asked me to bring the kids to see him on a business trip, which also fell on our anniversary. I knew that wasn't a coincidence. I didn't have the money to go but I felt God telling me to step out in faith and trust Him like the priests who stepped in the Jordan river before God parted it. So we got in the car and went with only a small amount of cash. Nothing is too hard for our Lord! My prodigal paid for everything just because he wanted to. Thank You, Jesus, my Jehovah Jireh!" (Ohio)
“Our God is a mighty and awesome God. I have been praying for some time that my prodigal and I could take a trip together. Yesterday, he asked me to go on a vacation with him and four other couples. I was a little worried that I would not be able to get the time off from work. But God! I was able to get the time off with no questions asked. Thank You Lord. You are so faithful to us. I give You all the praise, honor, and glory. Thank You for the victory You have already won for us. Thank You for the restoration of our marriage. I will stand and intercede for my prodigal and all marriages until the Lord takes me home. Never give up on our God. He always answers our prayers when we least expect it.” (North Dakota)
"I was having problems with my vehicle so I called my husband for help and we talked for almost an hour. This is the longest conversation I have had with him in years. A bulk of our conversation was about Jesus and living a biblical lifestyle. I have prayed Christian men into his life and God delivered in an unexpected way. He is working with a Christian. Unfortunately the man is a hypocrite. God used me to answer my husband’s questions about the man’s lifestyle. I am grateful to God for opening doors for me to speak to my husband about who Jesus really is and His love for us." (Pennsylvania)
