“We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia but today on Thanksgiving I held a celebratory picnic at the place my beloved and I were married many years ago. The picnic today was for our daughter's 21st birthday. It was a lovely spring day and I am so thankful the Lord enabled me to host a beautiful celebration at a place that has been special to our family at different times over many years. Even though my beloved husband was not with us, he remained strongly in my thoughts, memories and prayers all afternoon. The Lord enabled my daughters and I to talk naturally to everyone about the special place this location holds in our hearts. I give all glory to God and pray that next time we visit ‘our’ place, my husband will be with us, just like he used to be. Thanksgiving day really should be part of our culture too! “My mother was a special woman of God. She was a prayer warrior, and stood solid in Jesus. She taught her children how to pray and touch the throne of God. When my mother went to be with Jesus 10 years ago, I thought my world had ended. God had a plan.
