“I am still in disbelief over the flood of blessings the Lord is pouring on me. I've been experiencing nothing short of miracles! Just three weeks ago, living hundreds of miles away from my spouse with my mom, no job, no car, I felt hopeless as my prodigal said he wanted a divorce. Now I am living up the street from my husband, in my own home, where he is planning to move with me in a few weeks. He says he is only moving to 'help out' for a short while, but I believe that God will use this time to restore us. If that weren't enough, the Lord has just blessed me with a new car, new home, new furniture, money and food, all with no income. MIRACLES! I believe the Lord has blessed me for trusting Him. My prodigal has been spending time with me, communicating, and showing concern when just last month I could not get a word from him. I praise the Lord for all His blessings and for showing me how truly beautiful life is when we listen to HIM and not the enemy. Our ‘suddenlies’ are near standers!” (California)
"My husband left me and has alienated his entire family. However, he has continued communication with me and called me on my birthday and comes over to visit quite often. I tell him I love him after every conversation. I praise God he has not cut off communication with me and I know God will restore our marriage soon." (Georgia)
“May God continue to bless you for the work and encouragement you give to us standers (and prodigals). Today's devotional is spot on for me. Lately I have been letting my husband know how much I love, respect and admire him. Yesterday I had such an urge to tell him that I know he will never hurt me again and how much confidence I have in him. On my way to work this morning I was speaking to God and saying how I am finding it harder to think about, much less focus on any negative things about my husband. Instead I am seeing the great qualities of this man I love more clearly each day. PTL!” (United Kingdom)
"I want to thank you for the Daily Bible Reading Calendar. Following the reading plan has just breathed new life in me. It has revolutionized my spiritual life. God is restoring my very soul through His Word day by day. It is so easy to be deceived and not recognize the power available to us through this spiritual discipline. Thank you so much." (California)
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3-4
“After nearly a decade of standing, God has begun to open many doors of communication and friendship with my prodigal spouse. Old fears returned. How would I deal with the lifestyle he had chosen? I prayed and God answered. Charlyne's message on Friday,Stressed Out - Seek God's Perfect Peace.confirmed His answer to me. God gave me Isaiah 26:3 to remind me to always turn to Him, and He gave me a new verse to cling to. 2 Timothy 2:10- ‘So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.’” (Minnesota)
"Recently my husband called a meeting between our lawyers and us. I prayed all day the Lord would give me strength, courage, and the words to say. My lawyer started out the meeting by asking for reconciliation. My husband's eyes started to well up and he could not look at me. It took him a while to respond but he said no, that he wanted to continue. I thanked God for letting me see his reaction though. He was not sure he was doing the right thing. When I stepped out into the parking lot I remembered to thank God. As I looked up I saw the back of an SUV that said 'Jesus did it.' PTL!" (Illinois)
“My husband and I were separated for a number of months. The situation appeared hopeless. One day I stumbled upon this ministry and felt the Lord leading me to stand for my marriage. I wasn't even sure what that meant, but I surrendered my life completely to the Lord. He led me and embraced me through every tearful, lonely night. My husband told me when he left that he wasn't coming back, but I knew the Lord would restore what we had lost. He did that and more. It has been nearly two years since my husband has come back home. Our marriage is stronger than ever. Believe what the Lord has promised, and consider that He is moving even when our eyes fail to see it. The separation was awful, but God used it for our good, to fix what we couldn't. What He did for us, He will do for you. Bless the Lord!” (Texas)
“I had been having a week full of blessings, helping others and my job going well. Still I was looking for that sign to encourage me about my stand. While driving on a different road than normal, I looked up and saw a Covenant Transport truck. One of the most touching things is my son was with me at the time and we had just been talking about how happy my husband will be to come home. I had never seen one of these trucks before, so I know it was meant for me at this time in my stand to show me I am believing the Word God has spoken to me.” (Indiana)
"My prodigal spouse spent Christmas with our daughters this year after being absent for a few years. We enjoyed our time together as a family. He has moved closer to where we live. God is so wonderful." (Virginia)
"Our daughter went to the Easter Pageant my church had. The next week, we were talking on the phone and she said she wanted to thank me for inviting her and that she enjoyed it very much." (Tennessee)
“Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Mark 10:9
"My wife and I are recently separated. She wants divorce at any cost. I was the main problem in our marriage. I was away from God from a long time and didn’t take responsibility for my family. I started praying for my family and my wife is now ready to work on our marriage." (India)
"Early on Mother's Day morning I received a call from my husband, telling me he loved me and wishing me a happy Mother's day. This was better than a dozen roses. I give thanks to God and I will continue to pray for my husband." (Pennsylvania)
"I was discouraged because my husband has not made any starts to coming back home months after our divorce and recently said we're not getting back together ever. So I asked God for a rainbow inside our house if my husband and I would remarry. Two days later, our youngest son said, 'Look, mommy! There's a rainbow on the carpet!' The afternoon sun was bouncing light off my neighbor’s car creating a rainbow on our carpet and it was beautiful. If my son wasn't there I would have missed it." (Illinois)
"God is working in a mighty way in my prodigal spouse's life. He is calling me frequently. He is gradually moving things from the other woman’s to storage. He had a bad fall and is having to stay still as he is very sore. The fall keeps him from running from God for a few days. I praise God for many answered prayers." (Alabama)
“God has been doing such an amazing work in my heart! I thank and praise Him for how He is teaching me to quietly wait and submit to Him and my husband. I believe with all my heart that restoration is on its way and that God is preparing my OWN heart for it.” (Georgia)
“My daughter spent the past week with her dad and I decided to make the trip to where he is to pick her up and spent the weekend visiting friends and family in the area. Long story short, my mother-in-law invited me to dinner and my ex-husband came over after he got off work. After dinner he told me that he was blessed by God to have me and that he’d made a lot of mistakes this past year but had learned a lot too. He still considered me his wife and intends on marrying me again. I didn’t expect things to happen so fast, but he called me last night to tell me he’d moved out and left the OW, with whom he now has a child. I’m happy and in shock. We still have a long road ahead of us but God answers prayers! One year ago I spent the weekend crying to my friends about what was happening. This past weekend I spent telling them God is faithful!” (Mississippi)
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3
I saw my first Covenant transport Truck the other day. Praise God! I had prayed to see a truck maybe a month again after reading the testimony on this website. I was driving home from the city and begin to pray, decreeing and I drove right by the truck. I turned to see the words on the truck and I just began to cry and thank God for speaking to me about my marriage and His promises. Thank you for your prayers and your website.” (Oklahoma)
"I found your site a few years ago and started standing. Then I fell into adultery with a married man and I stopped standing. I realized God was not pleased with me. I am now back in the faith, left the man and started standing for my marriage again. My faith is stronger than ever. God is able." (Jamaica)
“Standing has been tough but I have learned a lot from RMM. About two months ago I felt convicted to place my wedding ring on after reading a devotional about it and so I did it. My prodigal has noticed it as well as my kids. I then also got together with a prayer partner to agree with me for things to begin to change on the other side of the mountain. This week I have had a couple of conversations with my prodigal that have answered many of my questions on what was happening on the other side of this mountain. I had the chance to pray with him and through God's grace was able to speak with love. I continue to pray and believe for God to bring all prodigals to Him first then home to us.” (California)
"My children and I were having financial difficulties and thought we might have to move from our home. We prayed for help. I never told a soul about our problem. After a week, praise the Lord, we got exactly the amount we needed to save our home. I am so thankful. God is so wonderful to His people." (Texas)
"God is forever faithful. He is a Comforter and Provider that will meet all of our needs. I know that firsthand as I continue my stand for my marriage. Throughout this season I have learned to trust Him and to become a better person realizing that I have value and relying on His promises for my family." (Delaware)
“God is worthy of all praise. After standing for some time now I saw my first Covenant Transport Truck. I was so excited. I began to praise God. It was so amazing. It traveled on the same highway as I was on the way to see my dearly beloved husband. God is faithful if we just believe.” (Georgia)
“We were married for many years and then divorced for many years. During our time apart God did an amazing work in both of our lives to bring healing and forgiveness and we were recently remarried. Having God in the center of our marriage has made all the difference. It is a new covenant based on a firm foundation. God is such a good God. To Him be all the glory, honor and praise!” (Florida)
"I was praying that the Lord would bring into my spouse's life someone who had a restored marriage so that my spouse would have hope that our marriage could be restored. Within an hour of praying this I bumped into an old friend of ours whose marriage has been restored. I had not seen them for many years. Thank You Lord for your confirmation and encouragement once again." (United Kingdom)
“I have been thinking about the word 'restore' a lot recently so I decided to look it up and see what it means. I was blown away with all that one little word can mean! No wonder Charlyne talks about God wanting Restored Marriages! Restore means: To bring back into existence, to bring back to an original condition, to bring back to health, to return to its rightful owner, to reconstruct, to reinstate, resurrect, revive, regenerate, reestablish and redeem. Yes please Lord, I want all these things for my marriage! I believe in the God of restoration. James 5:15: ‘This prayer made in faith will heal the sick; the Lord will restore them to health and their sins will be forgiven.’” (United Kingdom)
"Although we are divorced, I am standing for my marriage. God does work behind the scenes. For the first time in a year we are talking and texting and my husband came to church with us on Sunday. I thank God for that daily." (Arkansas)
"This weekend was difficult. On the radio was a pastor talking about perseverance through the difficulties of life, and that all we are responsible for is being obedient to God and to hang in there. I do not know how God can ever fix this, but I will hold to that for me and my precious kids." (Arizona)
“I was on vacation last week and it was a hard week for me except for one bright spot in the week. I was using my week to do some work at my mom's house. My husband came over to help with some of the carpenter work. He had told me earlier in the week he did not know how long he could stay. PTL! He got there at 10:30 A.M. and stayed until 9:00 P.M. that night. When we went to get the lumber for the work, on our way back to the house I saw a Covenant Transport truck.” (Illinois)
“I submitted our court date on the Court Page. I was reading the devotional today and was given this: ‘But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you will succeed. And everyone who tells lies in court will be brought to justice. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!’ Isaiah 54:17. I just received notice that the judge has ordered us into mediation before our court date. I know this is God's will, and I feel excited. Real communication has been lacking between us. I am glad that I get a chance to express my feelings about our situation, and that he will have to listen, which is often not the case in a courtroom. All thanks and praise be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.” (Arkansas)
"Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your spirit is good." Psalm 143:10
“In my frustration and plain old being tired of waiting, I announced to my prodigal that I will be filing papers to give him what he wants. As soon as I said it, I felt convicted. I prayed for God to speak to me on what to do. As I traveled down the road three trucks gave me exactly what I needed to hear from God. The first said, ‘Your most valuable resource starts right here!’ The second was a Covenant Transport truck, but the final one: ‘Better Starts from Here!’ PTL!” (Georgia)
“My marriage has been restored after some years of separation. God answered in His time. He is so faithful. Please don’t give up even if circumstances look impossible. I believe in the promises written in the Bible…say it, repeat it, believe it! God is awesome! " (California)
"I badly needed to hear my husband’s voice after receiving some very upsetting news. Within an hour of praying and crying out to our Lord, the phone rang and it was my husband. He knew straight away something was upsetting me and was truly concerned about me. This has given me even more strength in my faith and also in the knowledge that our Father is hearing our cries." (New Zealand)
"After months of standing firm and strong declaring against everything my circumstance says my marriage is not over, I experienced a spiritual attack. I prayed and asked God for a burning bush experience to encourage me. My husband came home and asked if I wanted to go on a cruise to spend some alone time. To God be the Glory." (Florida)
“In last year's (2011) June newsletter there was a prayer for prodigal fathers. Part of it was ‘turning the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.’ This really captured my own heart and I began praying fervently for my husband to have a closer relationship with our sons. Well praise be, as I am typing this testimony my husband and younger son are flying out on a father-son(s) bonding holiday; the elder son is already at the destination and they will be spending quality ‘boys time’ together. I was sad that they were going without me until God reminded me of this prayer and which He, in His mercy, has now answered. I look forward to the full restoration of my marriage which I believe will be very soon as I can see many prayers being answered there also. God bless and keep on praying and believing.” (United Kingdom)
"I have been praying for the divorce to be dropped or delayed until my prodigal comes to his senses. Twice the date has been changed to later dates. My spouse has been considerate and kind since my surgery. He offered to keep my driveway clear of snow and hired someone to do it. God is working and I continue praying for His miracle of restoration. Praise God for His promises." (Illinois)
"Our anniversary was a few days ago. I spent the evening alone with no acknowledgment from my prodigal. Monday's "Charlyne Cares" was exactly how I was feeling. That devotion reminded me that it is about God's goodness, not my merit, and that we will have restoration in God's plan." (Colorado)
"I lost my wedding ring but did not have the financial means to buy a new one. After my husband left our family, I asked the Lord for the opportunity to wear my wedding band as a demonstration of my stand. Praise God, I found my wedding band and took it to be resized. After sharing my commitment to stand with the jeweler, she resized my ring in only hours. The jeweler also filled my heart with scripture, promised to pray for my family, and did not charge me a thing. What a blessing it is to look at my finger and see evidence of God's grace in my life." (Arkansas)
I wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God. Psalm 38:15
"I want to praise God for my husband’s salvation. I have been praying and standing for months for him to be saved by Jesus and last week he called and said that he got saved. He is in jail and this is the change in him that I asked the Lord for. He calls me every day to say He loves and misses me. He also said he is coming home when he is released. I know God is working." (Arizona)
"My husband came home. Prior to his coming home, there was a peaceful encounter between my husband, the other woman and me. My husband informed the other woman that he did not love her as he still loved me. He apologized to both of us for this mess. Since his return, he has rededicated his life to God and has attended a men's fellowship and plans to continue. He is asking God to give him the strength to pray and read his Bible more because God has spared his life. If I have learned anything, I have learned that God is faithful and He is a restorer." (Louisiana)
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him." I John 5:14-15
"Last week my husband and I went on a cruise to celebrate the honeymoon we never had. My husband asked God to renew our vows. We never prayed together before. God is faithful. Many thanks to Bob and Charlene for Rejoice Marriage Ministries that gave me so much hope to follow God's way. The restoration is not over but the standing was so worth it." (Florida)
"I didn't go to church in the past because my spouse wasn't a Christian. Finding Rejoice Marriage Ministries, reading 'Charlyne Cares' and listening to teachings every day increased my faith and I wanted a church. I knew God would guide me. After praying about this, a couple came to my door and gave me information about a nearby church. I've been attending, saving a seat for my husband next to me every week and have been going to Bible study there every week as well. Thank you, Charlyne and Bob for your news of Jesus that led me to find the perfect church for me." (Wisconsin)
“My prodigal wife left some months ago. I had to switch job roles within my company around the same time and the Lord gave me a third job at a well known freight carrier to make ends meet. The Lord picks me up when I start to get weak. He placed a Covenant Transport truck in the door next to where I was unloading. When that one was loaded, he placed another one in the same door. I could feel God was telling me, ‘I'm right here next to you.’ Praise God for I know my marriage will be restored!” (Oklahoma)
"I have moved out of state to be with my husband. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family visiting us. God is good." (Virginia)
