"I was doing my devotional time when I asked God to let my husband call me and right when I finished the devotional, my husband called. I have been standing in agreement with the Steinkamps about breaking the walls of silence. My husband has continued to call me, and my father-in-law called me also. I know only God could do this after a divorce on paper." (Oklahoma)
"The other day I was going to the gym. Instead, I decided to shower, dress nicely and go to morning prayer at our church. On the way, I stopped at a cafe and was reading. I heard a happy voice greeting me. It was my wife and thank God I was all showered and looking good. If it were not for God, I would not have been there and had that positive contact." (California)
"My husband separated from me and has been living 100 miles away. He is a non-believer and I pray for his salvation daily, along with praying for a rebuilding of our marriage and family. We have many grandchildren who love and miss him so much. On Easter Sunday I was waiting on the stage of my church to sing with the worship team when, to my absolute surprise, my husband walked into the church. He did not stay for the whole service, but it was a step toward his salvation. What a wonderful God we serve." (California)
"At 2:30 A.M. I turned on my computer and looked for Charlyne Cares to see if there would be anything to help me. The Lord is faithful. Bob wrote of the regrets of the prodigal. It confirmed to me that my husband’s happiness is deceptive and how he has regrets. This was confirmation to me to continue my stand and not let satan steal from my family any longer." (California)
"On Thanksgiving Day I went to pick up my son at my father-in- law's house. I prayed on the way for me to not be nervous and for God to give me comfort. I got there and my husband wanted me to come in so his family could see our son. I was filled with peace. A couple of them looked at me wondering why I was there and so happy. I believe the Lord had me shine without saying a word. They wanted me to stay and it was a very good day. Thank You, Lord." (Arizona)
“Our Lord Jesus is really the only answer. After I posted our October court date on your Court Page and after we fasted and prayed, my husband dismissed the divorce without prejudice and our court date has been canceled. The devil is a liar. I give all the praise to the Lord Almighty!! HE is who HE says HE is. Thanks also to Rejoice Marriage Ministries and to all the standers and prayer warriors who prayed for us. We will continue to pray. To all my friends and standers I say: ‘The battle is the Lord’s.’" (Georgia)
"Our Lord is mighty to save! I have been seeking the face of the Lord intensely and asking for signs to help guide me through my stand. Yesterday I saw a Covenant Transport Truck with our anniversary date as the fleet number and also in the license plate. PTL!" (Florida)
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” Matthew 21:21-22 (NLT)
“After standing for some years, I am in a ‘dry’ season where there seems to be no movement towards reconciliation on my wife's side of the mountain. But God still keeps His Word, His promises, His plan! The devotional from Aug 22 blessed me so much today! Oh how true it is that our God fulfills His plans "just as He foretold.” He has given me indications that my relationship with my precious wife will be restored in time. Thank you for such encouragement to stand in His strength even in the "dry" seasons. May you all be blessed as you minister to us all, and as you serve with His strength!” (Oregon)
"Yesterday I was in a panic over finances. Due to a bank fee, I was going to have enough money in my account to cover only one of the two checks I had written. I came home and kept praying. After several hours of fuming, I decided to put my energy to good use and went upstairs to clean my daughters' room. I laughed as I pulled a pile of papers out from under the bed and found the envelope that I thought I put in the mail last week that contained one of the checks. I intend on framing it to remind me that God will make a way." (South Carolina)
“PTL! The first hearing date agreed upon by our attorneys was moved from January to February. I know The Lord answers prayers. I'm am continuing to prayer for my prodigal husband, both attorneys, the judge, as well as for myself. I am believing that my on-time God is restoring my marriage and family and canceling this divorce in Jesus’ name! Proverbs 21:1The king's heart is in the hand of The Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.” (Mississippi)
"At the end of 'Charlyne Cares devotional' were Bob's, 'Top Ten Signs That You Are Standing Strong.' I have heard all but the one about the singles group, and that's because our church doesn't have one. Praise the Lord, I am where He wants me to be. There is much joy in being obedient." (Pennsylvania)
“My story is about my grandmother. Her son is my dad. I am 52 years old. When I was 14 my dad left our family for another woman. He forced me to choose between a relationship with my mother and him and his girlfriend. At 14, I was devastated. I chose my mom. My dad and I didn't speak for over 20 years. My grandmother always encouraged me to forgive like Jesus. My heart was broken and not hearing it. She managed to have a relationship with my dad and me. I know she was encouraging him to mend the relationship also. My grandmother died when I was 33 and she never stopped praying for our hearts to be softened toward forgiveness. Even on her deathbed that was her dying wish. Three years after my grandmother died my mom died. Shortly after that I started attending a Bible believing church. My pastor's teaching on forgiveness really convicted me. For about a year, the Holy Spirit worked on my heart and on Father's Day 2005, I wrote my Dad a letter forgiving him for leaving me and my family and all the devastation it caused. I also asked for forgiveness for the wrong ways I handled the situation. It was true forgiveness I was offering because even if he didn't accept it, I wasn't taking it back. But God blessed us. We had a reconciliation and God has been able to restore the years the locusts have eaten. That is the power of a praying grandmother's prayers. Now that I am a grandmother, I pray that I can be the type of grandmother to them that my grandmother was to me. Happy Mother’s Day” (Louisiana)
"My husband told me he had contacted a divorce lawyer. I fasted and continued to pray. He still wants a divorce, but he is now talking, joking with me, and even hugged me. Although my husband planned for divorce, every step he takes seems to be God guiding him back to our marriage." (Virginia)
There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD. Proverbs 21:30
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
“I have been standing for my marriage and the Lord has given me peace, joy, strength and financial provision. Today my Lord has helped me to fast and pray all day and not to be hurt or discouraged as this is Valentine’s season. The Holy Spirit even led me to buy an anniversary gift for my spouse and He told me to keep the gift as I would give it to my spouse when we meet! I want to encourage other standers to hold on to the Lord. He is our refuge and He gives us all we need - peace, joy, finances, and most of all His love. I know my Lord is restoring my marriage. Dear standers, let us hold on to the Lord. He will never fail us. Be blessed. Standing until parted by death.” (Kenya)
You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever. Psalm 30:11-2
“After many years of my husband cutting off my communication towards him, he called to tell me I can email him and engage in conversation with him when he calls me. I have had the opportunity to send him pictures of our young married days and I wrote him a short note ending with ‘Standing in honor, truth for our marriage restoration until death does us part.’ I have been attacked so much with friends and family telling me to move on. But God reminds me of His promise ‘for in due season you will reap the harvest’ and ‘though it tarries wait, for it will surely come in its appointed time.’I love my husband even after many years of standing and there is compassion in my heart for him to come to God the Father and then to our marriage.” (Florida)
"God has been so good to me this week. Wednesday night my daughter was baptized and my husband and grown children attended. It is the first time our whole family has been to church together in years. Today God arranged for next week’s mediation date to be postponed. I am in awe of the greatness, love and mercy of our God." (Texas)
"My situation is dire and there are severe legal issues that exist as a mountain between me and my family. A crucial court date was set for the next week and my prayer warriors and I have been keeping it before God. My attorney had told me not to expect any more continuances...But God arranged it otherwise! This last continuance puts all of this in a very positive light and it is so unexpected that I know it is the direct hand of God Almighty. I cannot express the praise due our Lord God. Never, never lose hope. Never give up." (Arkansas)
"God is faithful. My husband has been gone for months. Not only have I been praying for him to come home, but that he would get another job due to the stress it caused. I was hired at a new job and a week later my husband was hired by my boss. My husband asked me out to dinner the night before his job opportunity and a week later he came home. He even bought us new wedding bands yesterday. Praise God, He is working on both of us." (Kentucky)
“My mother-in-law sent me an email to tell me that my husband has decided to let me see my stepson. Just out of the blue he has decided to change his mind and allow us to see each other again saying it is in our son's best interest. PTL! GOD is moving in my life and my husband’s. God is softening my husband’s heart and working in his life also. God has him right where He wants him. In God's timing, my husband will cry out for God to help stop the pain he is in and the glory will be all God’s. I have learned to be still and let God. I give God my husband, my marriage and He IS changing me and my life. AMEN.” (Missouri)
"Yhwh Yahuah (Creator) is El Hanne'eman (The Faithful God) (Hebrew). I call on Him, He answers the faithful who fear Him. He answers those who put their life in His hands as surrendered living sacrifices. Yahushua ha Mashiach(Jesus) has answered my prayers so wonderfully, I can say that when my wife repents and surrenders, I know the answer to what Elohim has joined together.” (California)
"During the first of my stand, my prodigal would slip back on his wedding band during occasional visits home, then he suddenly lost it. Praise God, he came home this month wearing a new one which he had picked out. He knows I've never taken mine off. It was such a dramatic sign from the Lord that Satan can not win this war against our covenant marriage." (Illinois)
"My husband called me just to say good morning. The next day he came to see our daughters and I caught him staring at me. I thank God for allowing me to see that He is working on my husband. Thank You, Jesus." (Georgia)
"Praise God for restoration. I've been praying and fasting for months for my marriage to be restored. God told me to 'Be still and know that I am God.' I stood firm on God's Word and said I wasn't giving up. I began to see things turn around. My spouse never mentioned restoration, but actions speak louder than words. We're now going to church and serving God together as a family. I'm still praying and fasting. I know God has great things in store for our family." (Virginia)
“I have had a reunion with my husband's whole family and have become very close to my sister-in-law. God is definitely moving on the other side of the mountain! Tonight at church a couple spoke of their restored marriage after the husband had had an affair a number of years ago and recovered from an addiction to pornography. Praise God our Pastor is defending marriage! I am witnessing to my family and friends about my stand.‘Nothing is impossible with God.’ Luke 1:37.” (Australia)
"Casting all of your care upon Him, for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
"It is amazing how far the Lord has brought me. I have learned not to fall into old patterns with my prodigal. The Lord is my defense. With prayer I feel certain that God has called me to make a difficult choice in a specific matter. I have been battling and God led me to Proverbs 31:8. Thank you for reinforcing we are to put our trust in the Lord." (Virginia)
"I was almost ready to give up on standing for my marriage. By accident I came across this site and read the articles here that changed the way I look at my present situation. I know that God is working on miracles and touching my prodigal husband's heart and will heal our marriage in His proper time." (Philippians)

"I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me. Psalm 16:7-8,11

"I thank the Lord for false starts, tender words and even moments to come in contact with the other person. My husband has been attending church. Praise the Lord that my husband is seeking Him." (California)
"It is amazing to see how the Lord works. I asked for encouragement after having an unpleasant encounter with the other woman. I am paid in cash and on one of the bills was handwritten a number that is special to my husband and I. It is the time we started dating as teenagers as well as the page number to 'our' song in a song book. I believe it was directly from the Lord." (Tennessee)
“Committed to standing, I moved all my prodigal's items into a new apartment by myself and helped with some of the bills. I knew in my heart that regardless of the situation I would love my prodigal through good and bad. Within the following month I lost my job and was forced to live with praying relatives until I got back up. I put in several applications and checked on them constantly with no response. Then one Saturday I had a fervent conversation with the Lord and He heard me. In the beginning of that following week the Lord awoke me by calling my name and directed me to check on a particular application. Before I hung up the phone I had an interview that same day and was offered the job the following day. Praise God! God is good. Keep praying, He hears and answers my fellow standers.” (Florida)
"The Lord blessed me by allowing me to go on a mission trip to Brazil for medical care and evangelism. Many people accepted Christ. My heart was touched with love for the people of the world. My heart still cries out for my prodigal to return to the Lord and me." (Colorado)

"I was feeling doubtful in my stand and asked God to give me a sign, to show me if this is what He wants me to do. Two days later I saw a Covenant Transport truck driving next to me. Exactly a week later I saw a Restoration Management Co. truck and a few minutes later a Covenant Transport truck again. Two days later another Restoration Hardware truck. I know God is with me and He is making it clear to continue my stand! Praise God." (California)
"I had to phone my husband regarding a financial matter. On the phone, he restated his intention to file for divorce in the new year. After we hung up, I cried out to my Lord. In my hurt, all I could say was 'Lord Jesus, I need You.' I had to rush out and as I was walking to the subway, a truck parked off the road caught my eye. Then I saw the words on the side of the truck, 'Miracle Street.' I don't know how God does it, but He answers every time. I praise the Lord for speaking to us." (United Kingdom)
All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant. Psalm 25:10
"We live in different states. My husband said that he needed a year to see if we can be friends. His statement gave me hope that the power of God is doing a work in him. It is not up to my prodigal's timing but God's timing. God will speak to my husband every day until he obeys the will of God and comes home." (Florida)
“Praise the Lord! My prodigal has ended the relationship with the OW! Earlier this week, I have been feeling such a peace, and a couple of days ago God prompted me to praise him. Today, on Valentine´s Day, I read posts about the end of that relationship. These posts are exactly from a couple of days ago when God prompted me to praise Him! Everybody help me praise the Lord! He is faithful to His promises! Thank You Jesus, for my suddenly is near!” (Dominican Republic)
"Our anniversary was last week. I surrendered the day to God first thing in the morning. I waited all day long hoping the flower delivery truck would come. "On Sunday for the purpose of honoring God for my birthday, I decided to put an extra $5 in the collection at church. God knows that I am low on finances, but I trusted that God would appreciate the small gesture.
