“I got myself in over my head with a construction project at home. It looked easy at first but it soon turned out to be a very difficult task. I called my husband - who works in the construction industry - for advice. Little did I know that he had already planned to come help me. He knew from the start what I didn't know - how difficult it was going to be. He didn't tell me before because he didn't want to discourage me. Instead, he cleared up two days of his work schedule to give me a hand. We ended up working together with our son. I took pictures and my husband gave me some of his nicest smiles in years. Now I have a lovely veranda and we have great memories of something we did together. This is happening in spite of a three-year separation and tough times of hostility and threats of divorce. God is good! When I look at the veranda I can't help but think that this is a labor of love - all for me!” (Canada)

"Praise God! I am rejoicing as I watch HIM move mountains. Saturday morning my beloved called and invited me to church for Easter Service with his parents. God has done a lot of cleaning up in me. "Our divorce trial was to start yesterday. Instead, there was confirmation of my husband's message that he was withdrawing his divorce petition. He still has no desire to reconcile, though. According to our local laws, we would have to be separated for about four and a half more years for him to be granted a divorce without my consent. I used to live in fear of him filing for divorce but I learned to trust God. He is worthy of all praise." (Trinidad and Tobago)
“We DO serve an awesome God! I have been standing now for seven years, six past divorce. From time to time, I have seen movement on the other side of the mountain. Yet through it all, the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) have made their presence known. They have taken me on an awesome journey of discovery of who I am in Christ. Through revelations and at the guiding of the Holy Spirit, I have been writing devotionals for about 6 years. At the urging of the Holy Spirit, I have compiled a number of these devotionals dealing with marriage, separation, divorce, and reconciliation into a book that is due out late spring of 2013. As I finished compiling this manuscript, I realized that if this book helped save just one marriage from Satan's clutches, then all the suffering, heartache and tears that I have had during my stand will not have been in vain. If you had asked me yesterday morning how I thought this would end I honestly would have told you that I thought I would probably go through the entire separation/divorce process and then remain single waiting for his return. God has been incredibly faithful through this whole process, and though there is much work to be done, I have complete peace that His hand is all over our marriage and family. Though my stand was not long, He has brought me to a place where I am forever changed for His glory and good. I switched to a country-western station and a song came on where the man was singing about his wife who kept the home-fires burning! Whoa! Yes, Lord! “I saw a testimony about the book of Matthew. Today I prayed that God would give me a word and our pastor talked about that book. After church I met my husband. He said the day of the divorce haunts him every day. I prayed that God would remind my husband of our marriage and the vows we made. “After spending Thanksgiving without my husband, I was feeling pretty down. Throughout my stand I have trusted in God with ALL my heart and leaned not on my own understanding. But my flesh was weak and I found myself in a crying pattern for the past few weeks I could not seem to get out of. I cried out to God while laying in a broken heap on the floor one night to show me a sign- a big one- that my husband was hearing His voice. The next night after prayer at church, I checked my phone and was shocked to see I had eight texts from my husband! All of them asking me for forgiveness, saying that he thinks about it every day! I fell to my knees in praise! He was listening to God speak! Through God, I was able to show forgiveness, tell my husband I loved him and to say the words that I have yet to ask in my years of standing, ‘Come Home.’ I know now it is just a matter of time! "This past Tuesday I had knee surgery number eight. Since my wife abandoned our marriage, I have no one to make meals, check mail and drive for me. Two days after surgery, my recovery is equivalent to what should have taken several weeks. In previous knee surgeries, I have never experienced this type of rapid healing.
